With Thanksgiving just days away it’s time to think about flowers for the table. Allow us to present a few suggestions you may like to use for your table or have delivered to friends and family.

Elegant Table Bouquet

Fall Flowers

Nothing says fall more than colorful leaves of gold, orange and red. Our featured fall designs build upon this color palette to bring the season into your home.

Sunflower Harvest – A profusion of sunflowers explodes in this fresh-from-the-garden design. Colorful Asiatic lilies provide a dramatic contrasting form and the tones of the deep dark greenery are reflected in the matte green vase. $40.00

Autumn Elegance – A deep brown stoneware vase sets the stage for this striking arrangement of disbud fall mums and burgundy Leucadendron. Hypericum adds a berry-like texture beneath the flowing motion of the curly willow. $30.00

Fall Trellis – An earthy terra cotta pot holds a natural river cane gridwork reminiscent of a garden trellis. Asiatic lilies and fall mums are arranged low in the container with accents of Hypericum and variegated boxwood. $35.00

An Abundance of Summer Flowers!

We often think of spring as the season of flowers, but summer is not to be outdone with it’s plethora of blooming perennials, annuals, bulbs and shrubs. It’s certainly one of the joys of life to be able to go out in the yard and gather a few blooms and greenery to adorn the dining room table.
If you are reluctant to cut the flowers from your own garden, and your neighbors aren’t too keen about you cutting theirs, we’ve got you covered. As always, we feature a fresh selection of hand-tied mixed bouquets, flowers by the stem, and recently we’ve begun to stock more grower’s bunches – a great value when you need a large amount of flowers.

To get you started on your summer arrangements, here’s a brief primer on the classic ‘Garden Vase’ design:

1. Fill your vase with properly prepared flower-food solution.
2. Place three stems of greenery into the vase. The greens should be equally spaced and lie on the edge of the vase with the stems interlocked.
3. Add three more stems of greenery, slightly taller and more upright, in the spaces between the first group of greens.

4. Add another type of greenery following the same general pattern. All the greens should now be well interlocked and able to support the flowers.
5. Place one flower in the center of the arrangement to establish the height of the design.
6. Place three flowers around and slightly below the first flower.

7. Place 5 flowers equally spaced around the container edge.
8. Use 3 more flowers to fill in between the top flowers and the edge flowers.
9. Now that you have your basic design, add more flowers equally spaced in-
between while maintaining the shape of your design.

10. Add accent flowers and more greens if desired.
11. Finish off with a bow to match.
